With over 25 years of industrial equipment experience Aptecon Solutions Inc. provides advanced industrial equipment and service solutions for the printing, food processing and pharmaceutical industries.

Arne is trained as a licensed industrial millwright and has amassed more than 25 years of industrial equipment service experience. Arne worked at Magna International Inc., specializing in the provision of technical and project management support for special projects.  His responsibilities included the development of a quick mold change program which increased production uptime by 80%. Arne was also responsible for coordinating the relocation of an automotive parts supplier’s facility from Toronto to Mexico City. As a special design consultant to Alvo Plastics, Arne co-created a new injection molding process for Northern Telecom Inc.  Arne subsequently purchased Alvo Plastics, and later sold it to a national injection molding company. Arne received specialized training in industrial baking in Austria and Italy.  He held the office of Manager, Technical Services, for König Maschinen, GmbH’s new North American head office in Charlotte, North Carolina, prior to his move to Boston, Massachusetts to become Vice President of Vajra Equipment and Consulting.

Interests:

Arne is passionate about the arts and has played an active role in various arts organizations.  Arne held various positions as Executive, Vice President, and Board Member of Calgary Allied Arts Foundation, whose mandate included the caretaking and programming of the City of Calgary’s public art collection.   Arne also served on the Board of Directors of the Calgary Region Arts Foundation, a not-for-profit, arms-length organization responsible for awarding and managing municipal funding for all the arts organizations in the City of Calgary. Member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce - Arts Business Committee. Late term member of the Calgary Civics Arts Policy Steering Committee, which led to the formation of the New Calgary Arts and Development Authority.
